kindletastic

Something else I like about the Kindle is that it allows me to read multiple books simultaneously, something I used to do prior to having a train commute and lots of travel. I'm liking the Kindle more and more as I use it. The question will be what happens once I can buy a good e-book reader from the iPhone App Store. I suspect I'll end up with as much of my data as possible on both devices and the use the iPhone for short reading sessions, Kindle for longer ones, but we'll see.

I would love to have a Kindle outside of the USA. I wonder if Amazon has franchise / licensing opportunities... :)

We used to read books on our SONY Clie's until we abandoned them for our iPhones. We love the Kindle too. Welcome to the world of multiple devices and multiple books. Sometimes more is good.

Thanks for the Kindle-talk. I am thinking about one but haven't yet. I am a novelist and always carry books when I travel. Plane rides ARE my reading time. Minimizing that weight would be lovely.

my thumb has developed problems from too much scrolling on the iPhone. A book reader could cripple me entirely.

I want to test drive the kindle before I spill all of that cash to get one. Especially since this has been tried before and it completely flopped. Even, though I would rather hold a book than a piece of machinery, it sounds like a great idea.
